Anybody can blog without any programming and coding skills and learning those skills is not mandatory. One can blog without any programming skills at all. But having a new skill is always added an advantage and it is helpful in various ways. If you know any programming knowledge at all like HTML, PHP AND CSS will be very much helpful for online work.

One of the main thing is that anyone without any technical knowledge can start and maintain a blog. There are many guidelines and videos to watch on the web. Many people compare blogging with web design, this is absolute misunderstanding about blogging and this is not true.

In order to start blogging, first you need to have all the topics you have to choose to publish on the Blog and you have to possess good writing and presentation skills to do the best. Because anybody can do blogging, but the presentation skills must be there for attracting users and get good traffic (visitors to our site).

There are some Programming languages which are helpful, especially if you are starting a technology Blog.

Which Programming languages are useful for Blogging?

HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language):

At first my recommendation is to go with HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language). Why HTML because most of the times you have to edit the posts and edit the template that your blog/website have. In this situation basic HTML editing helps you most of the times and learning HTML is not a matter and you can learn HTML basics within one day. If you are a new bee and you haven’t started HTML means I would suggest to go with HTML5 instead of HTML.

PHP (PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor):

Knowing PHP also will add more advantage over other languages. By learning this server-side scripting language, it is very helpful to your web development and to enhance the capabilities of your Blog. It is most useful to create a new plugin or a theme for your WordPress or blogger blog. If you are very good at learning PHP you can make money by selling plugins and themes for WordPress.

CSS (Cascading Style Sheets):

Knowing CSS will be very much helpful to quickly edit theme for one's own website or a blog. Particularly for WordPress themes, knowing CSS and PHP will help you to improve your blog within a short span of time.

JavaScript:

It is another language which you have to learn. Because it serves to bring beauty to one's website with jQuery.

Additional Non-Programming Skills:

These are the skills don't require programming language, such as image editing, video editing etc., for image editing learning Photoshop is the best thing.
